This BEAM bug is a master/slave bicore 2 motor 4 leg walker. It has a 74hc240 master/slave bicore with a 74ac245 motor driver chip.  Gearmotors are built from surplus AC 1/3 RPM gears with added DC motors from CD drives.  Battery is a Lithium 6V model, also surplus.  Legs are paint stripped coathanger wire (heavy).  Light sensitive photodiodes, that are supposed to turn the 'bot, don't, just upsets the bicore.  Simulated other PD connections, seems to work.
